Hey people !

so how was the performance just now?
I'm sure a handful of you would say it was boring.
Anyway, did those people inspire you?
Well, if you work hard enough, maybe someday
you'll be the one performing there! :P
So anyway, hope you guys learnt something there ya?
Or at least, experience what it's like to be in a concert
hall with awesome acoustics.
The performers were great. their performance
was awesome isn't it? Hopefully trumpeters will
pick up something new there.
the trumpeter's articulation was really good, clear
tonguing isn't it?
Sadly, our one and only bassoon player wasn't there.
He missed out so much about his wonderful instrument.
Anyway, that's how a bassoon sound like, in case you guys
didn't know :) Nice isn't it? Mellow sound.
the flautist's performance was impressive right?
I hope those performers inspired all of you,
Everyone can excel, as long as they try hard enough :D
I hope everyone learnt something there! :))

Hope you people are burning with drive hard passion now,
to know more about music, and to improve your music
playing, and also make music instead of just... Well you know
what i mean :D

Hey people!





syf's over! after months and months of preparation,
after all the scoldings and praises that we had, it's finally OVER!
how do you all feel huh? for those who feel guilty or sad, don't. :)
even though there may be mistakes here and there, but!
you know you've done your best, and like what mr han said,
the results/outcome are secondary. We gave it our best shot and we left
the stage with no regrets! and most of all WE ENJOYED OURSELVES.
WELL DONE PEOPLE! :)

clarinets; all of you have made tremendous improvement in terms
of tone after all these months of hard work and training. everyone
of you brought home your instruments to practice :)

french horns; all of you have made great improvement in terms of tone
after all these months of hard work and training. there's a big difference
in all of your playing before syf and now.


trumpets! all of you did a wonderful job just now. even though you all might
seem not to care about band, syf and what mr han taught you all through all
the practices, but you all still performed well and did a great job at bar 109
in legend of the ancient hero. :)

percussion; mr han took the risk of letting you guys play loud for legend of the
ancient hero,but it is the worth try. Mr han thinks he have made the right decision
to let you guys play forte for legend of the ancient hero, because you guys dont seem to
add on to any negative effects on the band, and in fact, it was a positive one.

and overall,
Mr han thinks that after this syf, we proved to others that we are able to express what we wanna show to the audience from the piece. (according to yihong.)

and i'm quite sure you all saw the wide smile that was plastered on mr han's face
while he was conducting us. and i'm quite sure mr han was very proud of layting's solo :)

through all the tough and tiring trainings, we did it.
Even though we did not achieve a gold, but we got what we want.
and that is our tremendous improvement over the past few months.

I hope you people enjoyed yourselves to the fullest,
and also congrats to us for our silver!

hey people!
there's only 13 more days to SYF.
let us all work real hard so that we can achieve what we want.
anyway, hope ya'all really gained something from the past 2 masterclasses
with Mr wong, Mr BENJAMIN YEO and Mr Quek.
okay, there's a concert on the 29th march which is a sunday,
at the esplanade! i think you guys will be interested yea?
cos dr lee will be there. and if i'm not wrong, Mr teow will be there also.
there will be a subsidy if more than 10 people are going.
